Late night club freeze good for Victorians

The Australian Drug Foundation (ADF) welcomes the release of the Victorian Alcohol Action Plan and the Victorian Government announcement of a raft of new measures to curb alcohol misuse in the state.

'Alcohol needs to be tackled on multiple levels to achieve sustainable change. We've been working closely with the Government for several years on how to address alcohol related harms, and it's great to see the Victorian Government tackling some of those difficult issues and moving to make our communities safer' says ADF CEO John Rogerson

National Drug and Alcohol Awards

Nominations for the National Drug and Alcohol Awards open on 1 February and
close on 11 April 2008.

The awards help Australia to encourage, recognise and celebrate Australians' achievements in the Drug and Alcohol field.
They will be presented at the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne on 27 June 2008.
