Have your say on Victoria's Alcohol and Drug Strategy

The Department of Health has contracted the Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) to facilitate further consultation around the Whole of Victorian Government AOD strategy.  Following last year’s submission process, the objectives of this additional consultation is to canvas the ideas, comments, feedback and stories from the wider community.

There is only a small window of opportunity to contribute, with the consultation taking place between 23 January and 19 February 2012.

VAADA is keen for community members, including clients, stakeholders and all parties who have an interest or concern in relation to alcohol and other drugs to participate in the consultations. We request that you encourage all interested individuals, organisations, clients and your broader networks to participate to share their views and experiences in this crucial area of reform. We would also encourage any agencies with further feedback to submit to our consultation process.

There are a number of ways in which people can participate:

- Join the online discussion at:

- Participate in one of a series of focus groups being undertaken in metropolitan Melbourne in February.  Exact times and locations are yet to be determined, however if you, or any of your clients wish to participate, please and preferably send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
